I went to this company because of a online advertised rate. I have 800+ credit scores across all bureaus and currently earn $110-$125,000 now and annually for the past 10 years. I applied for a conventional loan 30 year fixed and was issued a valid pre-approval letter...

Do not call this company. They give you the run around and do not show any compassion. They should go out of business. Please stay away!!

How about given details instead of trolling! I can't stand how people want to post things about a company but yet really have nothing to say.

So many people will come on to these sites and trash a company, especially finance companies, simply because they have no knowledge of how the system works or they simply did not get what they wanted because they can't/don't qualify under the rules that the gov't imposes on the mortgage industry. If you can't give details then stay away from bashing people.

I applied for refinance my home and this company told me $1000 of closing costs. Took extra for appraisal and their own people did appraisal. They appraised below the market value and company asked me to pay $3500 for closing costs and said your home value is less. ...

That is not how it works with the appraisals...all appraisals are third party, they have no control of what the appraisals come back as. When they come back low then you are going to have to make up the difference in order to keep the loan you are applying for and that is with ANY LENDER.

You can't just say the market value is going up and expect your value to go up...let me guess you are using Zillow to track the value....wrong wrong wrong. The value is going to be determined by what the demand is in the area for the listing price of your home and what other homes are selling.

You can't blame Sebonic for the decisions of a third pary appraiser that is from your own area of the country for crying out loud. Learn how it works before spreading around a load of manure about a company that has done really really well by me on multiple loans and refi's.

You are correct , they do not know what they are doing and very poor knowge about refi or loan process. Stay away from sebonic and its affiliates.

They will waste your time and take your money.

I wasted my time and I'm going with another company local. Warning!

I have had a very similar experience and they just can't pull their heads out of the sand to get anything done right. Processor and underwriter do not know anything about the refi process.

They will put you through the ringer and they are not professional at all. Stay away unless you like drama and headaches.

I had inquired about a re-finance with Sebonic. Their 30 year fixed rate was higher than a local Brick & Mortar bank nearby--whom I chose to do business with.

The reason for my comment on this persons post is simply because I'd wondered if they is being scammed by a crook. I'm curious if the individual sought a phone number for Sebonic from a source other then whoever it was who called them... hope so, since there are a lot of very sophisticated thieves out there...

P.S. Identity theft is the main reason I went with a local bank on my re-fi.

Besides, unlike the millennials who can't distinguish between want and need, and therefore download every app on the planet, my life isn't dependent on some electronic device that increases the odds of being a victim of identity theft. I actually prefer to do business in person.

That way, if someone screws up at my expense...I don't get jacked around by unanswered voicemail and emails.
