I have been waiting for a clear to close since the beginning of May 2015. If we do not get a clear to close by tomorrow I am going to complain on the link below at the better Business Bureau. We already loss $700 with this process for an appraiser and a water test. It was very frustrating when you do not get a call back from someone especially when they know you are running out of time. This is... Read more

Our rifi was as simple and straight forward as it gets. No cash-out with loan to value less than 50%, credit score 800 and zero debt. While they managed to fund the loan on time, the Sebonic or the entities they use absolutely do NOT return calls, and if you do get someone live they cannot answer the simplest questions. Maybe out of fear or just very unknowable. The appraisal company they... Read more

I initiated a loan with Cardinal/Sebonic in March, 3 months ago. To summarize, I am not at all pleased and feel this company is incredibly slow and at times borderline incompetent. I disclosed a potential credit issue to the loan officer up front and asked that she verify with an underwriter before we proceeded with charging for the appraisal. She checked with a supervisor and was assured there... Read more

I am a stellar borrower (words of Sebonic Financial and their partner, Cardinal Financial) with no debt (except my mortgage), high 700's credit score, high income and large cash reserve. I locked in a 3% 15-year fixed refinance with Sebonic. My existing loan balance is $335k. My home appraisal came back at $542k (higher than anyone expected). I wanted no cash out - just cut my interest rate in... Read more

I wish I had seen this site before I dealt with them. Was attracted by the best rate advertised, I got an application. Spent a lot of time filling out app and giving all kinds of private info. Our rep Doug Stephenson from Henderson LV never returned call, I sent email, never replied. Well, maybe it's a blessing but what a waste of time!! Add comment

Sebonic (really, it's Cardinal - they hand you off to another company without any introductions or warning) has good rates. They are cheap. That's it. I had an awful experience with my refinance. AMAZING communication, right up to the point you lock a rate in. Then you are on your own. I got bounced between a dozen people on their team, with poor response and communication every step of the way. ... Read more

Due to the low rate and overwhelming response to refinance they were ill equipped to handle the influx of refi's. My loan sat unattended for 30 days after I sent them all the paperwork they required. They finally asked for a final payoff amount from my current lender on the 11th of March. It was good thru the end of the month. I closed on the 26th of March with my attorney but CF did not release... Read more

The loan officer Chris told us if our closing funds from the seller exceeded the closing costs we'd have a check cut to us. Based on this information we changed the contract to add some additional funds instead of having the sellers repair a few items. I sent it to the loan officer and processors and everything was expecting me to get a check at closing. We heard nothing back for 2 weeks and at... Read more

Somehow Sebonic Financial ended up turning into Cardinal Financial who worked with me. I was close to my lock expiring and they extended it because they said the title company was giving them problems on my refi. I told them I never told them to use their title company which is 4 times the cost for a reissue. They then dragged their feet saying that they have not been able to contact my title... Read more

They offer a good rate and a 30 day lock. You wont get that. They offer a big credit up front, but you will pay it on the back end. The appraisal will cost more than they say. My appraisal needed to be special, which cost more. They quoted me 485 and it went to 600. I still haven't gotten an answer as to why. The appraisal lady brought her mom and dog with her to the appraisal. I should... Read more
